These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of The Studio Oak Bay ("The Studio," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 2186 Oak Bay Avenue, Victoria, BC. By booking the studio, you agree to these Terms.

1. Bookings

Bookings are accepted at the discretion of The Studio. First-time bookings are subject to manual approval, typically reviewed within 24 hours. Repeat customers are auto-approved after the successful completion of their first booking.

2. Payment

Full payment is due at the time of booking via Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment information is stored securely by Stripe; The Studio does not retain full card details.

3. Use of the space

The studio may be used for any lawful professional or creative activity that does not damage the space, disturb neighbouring businesses, or violate local bylaws. Open flames and heavy incense are not permitted. You are responsible for your own insurance where applicable, including professional liability insurance for practitioners providing services to clients.

4. Accessibility

The building main entrance has a flight of stairs and no elevator. The Studio is not wheelchair accessible. Please contact us before booking if you have questions.

5. Equipment rentals

Rental equipment (massage table, silent disco, podcast kit, zero-gravity chairs) is rented per booking at the rates stated on the Book & Rates page. You are responsible for returning equipment in working condition. Damage or loss will be billed at replacement cost.

6. Etiquette and cleanup

You agree to leave the space in the condition described on the FAQ + Etiquette page. Failure to do so may result in a $50 re-cleaning fee. Repeat issues may result in loss of auto-approve status or termination of the booking relationship.

7. Cancellation

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Studio Oak Bay is not responsible for personal belongings, injuries during your use of the space, or the conduct of your own clients, students, or guests.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Studio Oak Bay and its owner from any claims arising out of your use of the space or the conduct of your clients, students, or guests.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page and apply to bookings made after the updated effective date.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia.
