How we keep the space working for everyone.
A short list of everything you need to know. If something isn't covered here, email book@thestudiooakbay.com.
HOW IT WORKS
Before you arrive
You'll receive an email confirming your booking with the current week's keybox code. Please don't share the code — it rotates weekly.
The main entrance off Oak Bay Avenue has a flight of stairs — we are not wheelchair accessible.
The main building door is unlocked during business hours.
The keybox is mounted by the studio door; enter the code from your confirmation, take the key, unlock the door.
While you're here
Keep volume moderate — we share a village, and our neighbours are gentle businesses
Help yourself to tea and drinking water
Use the lockers for belongings you don't want to carry
Flameless candles are provided. Open flames and heavy incense are not permitted.
The bathroom is a shared commercial bathroom in the building, just outside the studio unit
Before you leave
Leave the space the way you'd want to find it:
Wipe surfaces with the spray provided
Fold blankets; return chairs as you found them
Place used dishes and mugs in the bin by the door — we'll take care of them
Take trash with you or use the bin by the door
Turn off the lights
Return the key to the keybox and scramble the dials
The $50 re-cleaning fee
If the space is not left in order, a $50 re-cleaning fee may be charged to the card on file.
Repeat issues
Two strikes and auto-approve status is removed. Future bookings will require manual review.
